Melia Rodriguez

Melia Rodriguez hails from Broward County, IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø and is a senior at IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Polytechnic University studying computer science with a concentration in software engineering.  

Rodriguez is currently serving her second term as student body president and University Board trustee. Additionally, she serves as the internal vice chair of the IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Student Association. She previously served as the University’s SGA senate president. 

Prior to enrolling at IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Poly, Rodriguez served on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s student roundtable for change in high school and volunteered her time as an art teacher for children in her hometown as part of a city-wide initiative.  

This past summer Rodriguez completed a technology internship at CoStar Group in Richmond, Virginia and will return there to work full time following her graduation. Her career goals include obtaining her master’s degree in business management and working in technology business management and consulting. She is dedicated to being the voice of the students and advocating for their well-being and success, not just at IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Poly but at all of the universities in the state of IMÌåÓý¹ÙÍø.
